Abstract
This paper presents an analysis of assessment and feedback at Company X (the author’s place of work). This paper outlines the issues related to the development of practice in terms of instruction, assessment and feedback and the way in which these can be achieved. A methodology involves the use of an online questionnaire to answer research questions and this can be used to develop understandings of other online companies use of assessment and feedback when teaching learners with specific learning needs (SEN). A discussion examines how the development of practice might use a combination of instruction, assessment, and feedback types with an emphasis on improving learners’ subject language skills. Further research, contribution to knowledge and implications of this research proposal are discussed with a view to the development of research methodology which may address the needs of students and pupils with SEN at schools.
