Abstract
This paper is devoted to the study of the main ways of slang translation used in fiction, from English to Russian on the material of Mark Twain's The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Work shows that during slang translation, such techniques as concretization, generalization, equivalent lexical substitution, omission and addition are used
