Abstract

Assessment is the process of gathering information about how students are progressing in their studies so that you may make judgements about them. It is also the gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing of facts in order to make better judgments. Moreover, classroom assessment is a student evaluation method that is linked with the educational process and functions at the classroom level. It's likewise a continuous process of obtaining information on students teaching and synthesizing it to assist instructors better understand their students, organize and monitor instruction, and create a welcoming classroom environment. Since training allows to bolster the strengths of existing academic staff and address their weaknesses head-on, it gives to teachers the ability to learn and improve. Therefore, after completing this staff development training, the Amigonian International School staff members will be able to define assessment, evaluation and action, learn a skill that will help to define formative & summative assessment strategies, understand the concept of test plan, discuss the importance of a test plan and table of specification, tell what should be considered in the preparation of the test plan, list the categories of tests, identify the nature of Classroom achievement tests, their format, merits and demerits and finally Write major suggestions for writing each item type.
Our school academic staff members are advised to consult various articles and standard books on the topic of classroom assessment for completing details on the modifications and explanations that accompany them.
