Abstract
This paper addressed issues relating to health, health care, human resources in the health sector, the need to develop a health workforce, as well as limitations and achievements in health human resources development in Vietnam. In addition, the study also highlighted some works and reports of health, human resources for health, contents of health human resources development; and the present situation of the country and developed Asian nations, from which to draw some recommendations for the advancement of Vietnamese health human resources afterward.
