Abstract

A table of specifications allows the teacher to construct a test which focuses on the key areas and weights those different areas based on their importance. It provides the teacher with evidence that a test has content validity, that it covers what should be covered. It is designed based on the list of course objectives, the topics covered in class, the amount of time spent on those topics, textbook chapter topics, and the emphasis and space provided in the text. The principles offered in this training material were developed from information discovered in published peer-reviewed studies on Google Scholar, as well as Easaw Alemayehu Assefa's twenty years of leadership experience. I am confident that the workshop's participants and readers of this power point will comprehend critical table of specifications issues.
